Puharić welcomed students and professors from the University of Lucerne in the City Hall

In the scope of the interdisciplinary educational workshop programme ,,30 years since Srebrenica- conflict, memory and reconciliation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, students and professors from the University of Lucerne visited Sarajevo.

Their host today in the City Hall was the mayor, Predrag Puharić.

The guest pointed out, the reason of their visit, is to explore the consequences of the genocide in Srebrenica, learn more about interreligious dialogue, diversity of cultures and religions, also to have discussions with numerous political and religious leaders.

’’Our City Hall, repertory of history and culture of Sarajevo, always welcoming guests from all over the world with pleasure, especially young people who desire to learn of the history but also to create a new more promising future. Delegation from Lucerne is on its mission of the education and the City Administration always supports and welcomes such projects’’, Puharić said.

Apart from the meeting with Mayor Puharić, the meeting with the Swiss Ambassador and the Representatives from the UN and EUFOR was planned as well.

As part of the excursion, they also visited Mostar, the Srebrenica Memorial Centre and Trieste.

The programme implements in cooperation with Hochschulseelsorge ,,Horizonte’’ and supported by the Catholic church in the Canton of Lucerne.
