Interns of the Center for Post-Conflict Research Visited the Sarajevo Information Center
A group of interns from the Center for Post-Conflict Research (PCRC) in Sarajevo visited the Information Center on the ICTY. During the visit, they had the opportunity to learn about the history and architecture of Sarajevo’s City Hall.
Built in the pseudo-Moorish style, City Hall today represents far more than the seat of the city administration. In its magnificent, restored form, renovated according to original documentation and preserved archival and museum materials, it rightfully bears the prestigious title of the Bosnian pearl and guardian of the cultural and historical heritage of the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The restoration of City Hall also enriched its museum collections, and today numerous permanent exhibitions leave every visitor in awe. The interns of the Center for Post-Conflict Research had the honor of exploring the rich archival and museum materials of a true time capsule, covering periods from the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian rules to the exhibition dedicated to the 1992–1995 war period, which is preserved at the Sarajevo Information Center.
The interns expressed great interest during the visit and asked numerous questions.
