The Mayor of Sarajevo, Samir Avdić, welcomed the representatives of the “Arci Nacionale – Bolzano” Foundation, director Sergio Bonagura and coordinator Andrea Rizza Goldsten, at the City Hall.

During the meeting, they discussed establishing cooperation with the Foundation with the aim of organizing youth exchanges and study visits to the Information Center and the Sarajevo City Hall.

Young people from Italy would have the opportunity to learn about the organization and mandate of the Center, access the archival court records of the ICTY and MICT, and visit the authentic courtroom of the Hague Tribunal and the museum exhibition “the Tribunal’s legacy through judgments.”

Mayor Avdić expressed his satisfaction with such initiatives and stated:

“Projects like these not only promote the work of the Center, but also position Sarajevo as an open city that enables young people from around the world to learn about history, justice, and the culture of remembrance.”

The Italian foundation “Arci Bolzano” actively contributes to social inclusion and the culture of remembrance, and among its projects is the recent promotion of the book Srebrenica 30, which documents the truth and preserves the memory of the genocide in Srebrenica.
